Another Lockdown...

On Friday 23rd October 2020 at 18:00hrs, the whole of WALES is on LOCKDOWN.

This means that RED STAR 13's shop is forced to close it's doors once more. We've been told that the LOCKDOWN will be lifted for Monday 9th November. However during the last LOCKDOWN we were initially told it would be 3 weeks.

As a small business, this is harsh news. Although we are not considered to be an ESSENTIAL retail service, we are ESSENTIAL for our finances & well being. This means that we will lose out of another 2 weeks of income, plus as someone who suffers with Mental Health time away from the shop / customers will be very difficult...

Therefore we hope that you keep supporting us and help spread the word - where else is there a shop like ours near Ammanford?

We will continue to take orders online (secure card payments) which will be delivered during this period or you can reserve and pick up when we are allowed to re-open.

RED STAR 13 has survived the 1st LOCKDOWN, however it's been hard, but we THANK all our customers, friends & family for their continued support.

As already mentioned, MENTAL HEALTH for a lot of people is worse during this time of year and with the COVID-19 things look bleak.

There are a number of support groups out there and if you are struggling, please contact them. As a member of the SHADOWS DEPRESSION SUPPORT GROUP, I've missed out of the weekly meetings since March / April, which in turn has stalled the group's fund raising.

The group, which is based in Glanamman, is self funding. They have a place by the Rugby Club, which still needs to have it's rent paid for and additional services provided for it's members need to be catered for - especially during this difficult time.

As many adverts on the TV have shown. Funding for a lot of charities, illness research groups, etc have slowed down in the wake of the COVID-19.

So to help SHADOWS, which I'm forever in their debt, we have set up a fund raising group "Totally Bogus! Presents...".

As part of the ongoing fund raising efforts we have released a 10 track acoustic based CD with members from the MELODIC ROCK scene. 10 artists have contributed a track each (these are new songs, rare versions and exclusive to this CD).

We hope that you will be able to spend £10.00 on this CD, so that the SHADOWS group can continue to operate. If you don't wish to own the CD, but still want to donate then you can do so.

Please visit & for details.
